Anand will get the remake! Rajesh Khanna and Amitabh BachchanThe cult classic film will be made keeping in mind the story of today. The film will be remade by producer Vikram Khakhar along with Sameer Raj Sippy, grandson of the original producer, NC Sippy. While the film is at the scripting stage, the makers are yet to finalize the director.
Excited about the project, producer Vikram Khakhar said, “Dig into our own classics, we will find priceless gems rather than exploring stories internationally or regionally. Keeping Anand in the post covid era, where we emphasize on the value of life, will enhance the story of Anand. ,
Produced by the announcement of the remake, producer Sameer Raj Sippy said that such stories need to be told to the new generation. He said, “Keeping in mind the sensibilities and sentiments attached to the original film, I felt the present generation needs to re-tell many stories which are very relevant today and especially when there is a great appetite for good content. “
