A court in Andheri has summoned Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra, her sister Shamita and her mother Sunanda for non-payment of loans of Rs 21 lakh.
The court has ordered the trio to appear on February 28.
The summons was issued on Friday after businessman Parhad Amra lodged a complaint with the Juhu police station alleging that a loan of Rs 21 lakh was not being paid on him.
According to the complaint, Shilpa Shetty and family failed to repay the loan, which was allegedly taken by Shilpa and Shamita’s father Surendra Shetty.
Parhad Amra, owner of an automobile agency, claims that Surendra Shetty had borrowed the amount in 2015. The alleged amount was to be repaid by January 2017, however, all three are refusing to pay it.
