Andhra Pradesh: Four more arrested in Amalapuram clash case

Four more people were arrested on Friday for allegedly playing a key role in cases of arson and stone pelting in Amalapuram town in protest against the proposal to rename Konaseema district after BR Ambedkar on May 24.

Addressing the media here, Superintendent of Police P.C. Sudhir Kumar Reddy said, “The four accused are G. Anil, Kadali Prasad, Gurrala Jagan and Mohan Sathya Sai. We have arrested them on the basis of scientific evidence gathered on their alleged involvement in the Amalapuram clashes.”

“We have arrested 239 people in the case so far. We will not spare any accused,” Mr Sudhir Kumar Reddy said.
