Malagundla Yashodamma, the mother of Roads and Buildings Minister Malagundla Sankaranarayanan, died of a heart attack late on Saturday night. He breathed his last at his residence in Dharmavaram due to a heart attack at 11.30 pm on Saturday.

The wife of Malagundla Vakilu Pedayya, she was known to be a kind person who helped anyone who approached her irrespective of caste, creed and religion. Several leaders of YSR Congress and Telugu Desam Party visited the minister’s residence in Dharmavaram on Sunday morning to offer condolences.

Anantapur Urban MLA Ananth Venkatarami Reddy, Penukonda Telugu Desam Party President BK Parthasarathy and former minister Kalava Srinivasulu offered their condolences.

The general public and local YSRCP leaders gathered in large numbers to pay homage to the departed soul.

Hindupur MP Kuruva Gorantala Madhav and Dharmavaram MLA Kethireddy Venkatarmi Reddy also expressed grief over Yashodamma’s death.
