The Nothing Phone (1) has become the ‘talk of the town’ within a month of its launch. While this is the first smartphone from the company, the handset comes with a unique glyph interface that is said to be a new way of communication to help reduce screen time. The smartphone runs on Android 12 and is one of the eligible devices to get Android 13. But don’t expect it to happen soon.
When asked by a journalist about the rollout of Android 13Karl Pei, founder and CEO of Nothing- said that a product is more than just a version number. “A product is more than just its specifications, features and version numbers,” are the exact words to which Pei replied. What he said does indeed hold value, but it may come as a disappointment to those who are expecting Android 13 for Nothing phones (the rollout of the latest Android operating system for 1 smartphone is still in the beginning). It could be some time.
Earlier this week, the price of nothing increased nothing call (1) in India. Launched at a starting price of 32,999, the handset will now be priced 33,999 for the base model of 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. Similarly, the 8GB+256GB storage model will now cost Rs. 37,999. Its price first. Was 36,999. On the other hand, the top-end model will now cost 39,999.
The Nothing Phone (1) has a dual camera setup at the back with two advanced 50 MP sensors, with the main camera being powered by the flagship Sony IMX766. This smartphone is equipped with a 6.55-inch Full HD + OLED display with an adaptive refresh rate of 60Hz to 120Hz. It comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the back and front.
Powering the device is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778+ octa-core processor. The handset is said to offer up to 18 hours of battery life. Nothing claims that the phone can charge power from 0 to 50% in just 30 minutes of charge.
