Describing the incident, the owner of the electric scooter said that he was traveling with his friend and suddenly the scooter stopped. After the incident, the owner lodged a complaint with the nearest police station.
This is not the first incident for pure EV the creator. This is the fourth time that a Pure EV e-scooter has caught fire in a few months. Recently, the manufacturer has recalled around 2000 electric scooters in view of the EV fire incidents. However, the company has not made any official statement on the recent incident.
Apart from Pure EV, Okinawa Autotech and Ola Electric are the two other electric scooter makers which have caught in incidents of EV fire in the last few months and released their e-scooters to witness the same.
The government has also ordered an inquiry to find out the cause of the EV fire. The EV industry is still in the development stage and testing and R&D is needed to avoid such incidents.
