The Moscow Zoo has welcomed a new member in the form of an anteater named ‘Pancho’. This anteater has moved to zoos from all over Europe in the summer. Experts decided to place him with squirrel monkeys. The enclosure is equipped with all kinds of climbing frames. Water is sprayed regularly from the roof to maintain the required moisture. Logs, ropes, crossbeams are suiting the anteater, also known by its other name tamandua. This anteater sleeps in holes or hollows during the day.
