Anupam Kher Says Kirron Kher’s Cancer Recovery Was The ‘Greatest Relief’, Says ‘Giving Up Was Never…’

Starring Anupam Kher, Amitabh Bachchan, Boman Irani, Neena Gupta and Sarika, Sooraj R. Barjatya’s film Alai is making headlines for its cute and simple story of pure friendship. The film is set for release on November 11. Amidst the film’s promotional spree, Anupam Kher poured his heart out during an interview with The Times of India. During a conversation with the news portal, he also told about his wife and actor Kirron Kher’s recovery from cancer and called it his biggest victory. He said that this is a big relief for him.

Kirron Kher was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a type of blood cancer, in the year 2021. Anupam told the news portal that his wife is a fighter and has started working again in Chandigarh. Additionally, she was a judge on the talent reality show, India’s Got Talent. “The human spirit is much stronger than anything else,” he said. “Leaving is not an option. Because you are known, you become a role model for people,” he said.

Anupam reveals that initially when Kiran started working out after her victory against cancer, he was worried. He said, “I was worried. Big C is a dangerous disease.” He further said that medical science has improved by leaps and bounds. He even expressed his gratitude towards the doctors of Kokilaben Ambani Hospital who played a major role in helping him win the battle against cancer.

Meanwhile, all eyes are on the heights. It is a film about a group of four senior citizens who are planning to climb Mount Everest. Danny’s character dies before anything can be finalized. After their demise, a simple trek becomes a personal and emotional mission for friends. The remaining three friends decide to fulfill his wish and immerse his ashes on Mount Everest. The film, co-written by Sooraj R Barjatya and Abhishek Dixit, also stars Parineeti Chopra. She will play the role of a trainer in the adventure drama film.
