Apple: Apple Watch Series 7 doesn’t support this feature in India – Times of India

apple watch series 7 recently went on sale in India. Among other features the Watch Series 7 is designed to offer fast charging. However, according to an update on Apple’s support page, the smartwatch will not support fast charging in India for now. “Fast charging is not available in Argentina, India or Vietnam,” says the company’s support page. The reason for the same is not clear. Apple has not officially said anything about why this feature is not yet available in India. It is also not known whether fast charge support will be provided in the country later.
According to Apple, with Fast Charge, the Apple Watch Series 7 battery level can go from 0 percent to 80 percent in about 45 minutes. Fast charging requires the Apple USB-C Magnetic Fast Charging Cable. This cable has an aluminum surround of the magnetic charger and a USB-C connector. Users also need one of these power adapters:

  • Apple 18W, 20W, 29W, 30W, 61W, 87W, or 96W USB-C power adapter
  • A comparable third-party USB-C power adapter that supports usb power delivery (USB-PD) 5W or more

Apple launched the Watch Series 7 along with the iPhone 13 series on September 14. The non-cellular version of Apple Watch Series 7 is available at a starting price of Rs 41,900 while the Watch Series 7 GPS + Cellular version is priced at Rs 50,900. Apple Watch Series 7 comes in 41mm and 45mm variants. Select Apple authorized reseller stores in the country are offering up to Rs 3,000 cashback on purchases made using HDFC Bank credit/debit cards or through EMI transactions. The Apple Watch Series 7 comes in five aluminum case finishes: Green, Midnight, New Blue, Starlight, and (PRODUCT) RED. The stainless steel models come in Gold, Graphite, and Silver colors, along with the Apple Watch Edition in Space Black Titanium and Titanium shades.
Apple Watch Series 7 sports Always-on Retina display with 1.7mm thin bezels. It comes in two sizes – 41mm and 45mm. The new Apple Watch runs on watchOS 8 out-of-the-box. Apple Watch Series 7, like Apple Watch Series 6, supports blood oxygen (SpO2) tracking. Apple claims that the Series 7 is its most durable watch yet. It is claimed to be crack-resistant with an IP6X-rated build and WR50 water resistance rating. According to Apple, the battery life is 18 hours, which is similar to the Apple Watch Series 6. Apple Watch SE and Apple Watch Series 3. Apple Watch Series 7 runs on S7 chip with 64-bit dual-core processor.
