Apple iPhone 14 Pro may finally get rid of the notch. what can change here

Apple recently launched new iphone 13 series smartphone. While Apple reduced the size of the notch, the overall usability of the screen didn’t change much. Apple has stuck to the notch design since the iPhone X series, which was introduced in 2017. For four years, the company has maintained its design language due to the FaceID sensor. A new report suggests that the reign of the notch may end with the iPhone 14 Pro model launching next year.

According to a research note attributed to popular Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the next iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max will feature a major redesign that will replace the notch with a punch-hole cutout. The analyst also claimed that Apple may use a 48MP wide-angle sensor next year.

It is still unclear whether Apple will take the FaceID technology forward or replace it with a fingerprint sensor or another biometric security option. Analyst Kuo claims that Apple may launch in-screen fingerprint sensor only by the year 2023. If that turns out to be true, it will be interesting to see what Apple has planned for the iPhone 14 series.

Like every year, Apple will launch the iPhone 14 flagship in the second half of 2022. Additionally, the 2022 iPhone lineup is expected to include a new 6.7-inch non-Pro iPhone to complement the standard vanilla model.

Apple, on the other hand, may stop producing the ‘mini’ model in favor of a larger device. To make up for the lack of a smaller form factor, Apple will launch the next gen iPhone SE. However, it is reported to sport a similar dated design with the Home button.
