Armed police caught a gang of boys under the age of seven who were threatening drivers with fake guns and knives

  • Four boys aged 12 to 7 were threatening the drivers with fake weapons
  • Two gang members were arrested by West Midlands Police after being called by the drivers

Police have arrested two children in Walsall for threatening drivers with fake guns and knives.

West Midlands Police said they had received reports from drivers that the boys were threatening motorists near Reedswood Retail Park in Walsall.

Police also noted that they were attempting to use fake weapons to trick drivers into handing over their vehicles.

The incident took place in and near Reedswood Retail Park in Valsallo

Armed police were deployed to the scene and four boys were taken into custody – two 12 years old, one 11 years old and one 7 years old.

A toy gun painted black and a kitchen knife were snatched from wannabe thugs.

The gang was also reprimanded for pelting stones at cars.

The commotion reportedly continued when the boys went to a shop in the retail park and threatened the employees.

In the UK the age of 7 is under criminal responsibility.

Police have not confirmed whether they intended to accuse the children of any crime.
