Arun Lal will continue as Bengal coach: Snehasish Ganguly Cricket News – Times of India

Kolkata: Cricket Association of Bengal ,the cabThe former India opener is not considering replacing its coaching staff under the leadership of Arun LaluSecretary Snehasish Ganguly Said here on Sunday.
Under Lal, Bengal made it to the Ranji Trophy final in 2020 after a long gap of 13 years and in the current season, they made it to the quarter-finals after achieving a highest score of 18 with three consecutive wins.
“I have seen in some sections of the media that CAB is in the process of hiring new coaching staff for the upcoming season,” Snehashish said here.
“I want to state very clearly here that this news is baseless. These rumors are unnecessary and harmful in the middle of a season when the Bengal senior team is playing good competitive cricket.
“The team is playing well. The coaching staff is doing a great job. The CAB is very happy with the team’s current support system and any news to the contrary is false and baseless,” he added.
Lal has appointed former Bengal off-spinner Sourasish Lahiri as his deputy.
The knockout phase of the Ranji Trophy will resume after the IPL in June.
