Aryan Khan drug case: NCB used Bhagavad Gita, Quran and Bible to advise SRK’s son and other accused

He is presently lodged in Arthur Road Jail and is talking to his family members over video call. Meanwhile, after the agency took them into custody, counseling sessions were held for all the accused, during which they were inspired through religious texts. Zonal director Sameer Wankhede and social activists were present during Aryan’s counseling, where Aryan Khan told NCB that he would never indulge in any wrongdoing, work for the society and ‘you will be proud of me’.

Aryan, Arbaaz Merchant, Munmun Dhamecha and others were counseled daily for 2-3 hours during the custody period of 5 days. During this, the ill effects of medicines on health were also discussed. Not only this but the agency also took the help of priests and clerics of ISKCON temple in Mumbai and told them how drug use has a serious impact on the family.

During the detention, Muslim accused Aryan Khan was given copies of the Holy Quran, while the other accused were asked to read the Bhagavad Gita and the Bible.

According to sources, Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede and social workers were present during Aryan Khan’s counseling, where Aryan Khan said that he himself would be involved in social work and would work for the upliftment of the poor section of the society. “He will provide financial assistance to all those who need it,” the sources said.

Meanwhile, on October 15, Aryan Khan. Arrested in a drug-on-cruise case, who spoke to his parents Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan via video call from inside Mumbai’s Arthur Road Jail on Friday, informed jail authorities.

As per the High Court order, all the accused or prisoners who are in jail amid COVID-19 can talk to their family members through video call twice a week. “Aryan was on the call with his parents for 10 minutes and a jail official was present with him during the call,” the officer said.

There are a total of 3200 inmates in Arthur Road Jail. As per the prison guidelines amid the pandemic, people are not allowed to meet the prisoners. They can only talk to him on the phone. The prisoners are given 10 minutes to talk to their family members.

So far, 20 people, including two Nigerian nationals, have been arrested in connection with the seizure of drugs after a party raid on the Cordelia cruise ship off Mumbai coast on October 2. The agency is continuously conducting raids.
