As soon as the plane collided, the pilot, the passengers jumped safely, the old video again went viral

In 2013, two small skydiving planes crashed in mid-air.

Chilling footage from 2013, which has resurfaced on Twitter, shows the moment two skydiving planes collided in the air, forcing the pilot and passengers to jump safely. While one plane crashed to the ground, the other came back on the runway. Miraculously, none of the nine passengers or the two pilots were seriously injured in the crash, CNN informed at that time.

The accident happened in November 2013 near Lake Superior, Wisconsin. According to skydiving instructor Mike Robinson, the two planes were flying together because the skydivers had to jump in formation. However, the horrifying video shows the moment two small Cessnas carrying skydivers crashed together, bursting into flames.

Firefighter Vern Johnson said the chief pilot said his windshield was broken and he heard a rattling sound before jumping. The plane broke down in mid-air, but luckily it was full of skydivers who managed to parachute to safety.

Nearly eight years after the incident, footage of the collision has resurfaced on Twitter. Watch it below:

The video has garnered 3.4 million views since it was posted two days ago.

One person wrote in the comments section, “It was so scary. I got to watch the story, shocked to hear everyone alive.”

“I can’t believe no one was seriously injured,” said another.

Speaking about the incident, Mr Robinson told Guardian. “We do this all the time. We don’t know what exactly caused it to happen for sure.”

“We were just seconds away from doing a normal skydive when the trail plane came over and over the main plane,” he said. “It turned into a big flash ball of fire, and the wing broke apart.”

“We all knew we had an accident. The feather on the top of our head was gone, so we just left,” he said.
