Brisbane: The first day of the first Test between Australia and England being played at the Gabba on Wednesday had to be called off due to rain and bad light.
After England were bowled out for 147 at the stroke of tea interval, it started raining heavily.
When the rain finally stopped, umpires Paul Reiffel and Rod Tucker considered the lights too bad for Australia to start their first innings.
The game will begin 30 minutes earlier at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday.
