Asia Cup 2023: In a recent development regarding the venue of the Asia Cup 2023, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh have reportedly approved Pakistan’s hybrid model to host the tournament. Pakistan is hoping to find a solution on the venue of the tournament after India refused to travel to the neighboring country.

According to a report in Pakistan’s Geo News, both Sri Lanka and Bangladesh have now expressed their willingness to support Pakistan’s hybrid model. Furthermore, the report states that Asian Cricket Council president Jay Shah will hold a meeting with the ACC board members to assess the proposal of host nation Pakistan.

Pakistan has reportedly introduced two options in its hybrid model. In the first, India will play its matches at a neutral venue while the other matches will be held in Pakistan. The second states that the opening phase of the event will have four group stage matches in Pakistan while the Indian matches in the second phase will be followed by the next phase matches and the final will be played outside Pakistan.
