Assam had set an estimated target of immunization of around 18.25 lakh children. However, the actual number may cross two million, which includes the floating population and dropouts.
In an order issued by the state education department, the additional deputy commissioners (in-charge of education) of the respective districts will monitor the campaign in coordination with the inspector of schools in the respective districts. The Inspector of Schools has been directed to ensure that the students of private schools and enterprise schools are covered during the campaign.
