In his tweet, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “We are determined to eliminate jihadi elements from Assam. @tamulpurPolice has done a commendable job in nabbing 2 persons – Sadiq Ali and Zakibul Ali – who have mobilized the youth from abroad. Tempted to be- Ansarullah Bangla Team, a terrorist organization affiliated to Al-Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent (AQIS).”
He added, “Sadiq Ali arrested A significant achievement as he was radicalizing youth including Zakibul Ali for the last two years. He was also associated with JMB and Neo-JMB. Meanwhile, Ghaghrapar police (Nalbari district) also arrested two persons – Abel Ali and Abu Rehan in a similar case.”
