ATM: Two arrested for trying to steal cash from ATM near Coimbatore. Coimbatore News – Times of India

Chennai: The chettipalayam Police in Coimbatore District Tamil Nadu arrested two people from Haryana for trying to steal cash from a ATM Pertaining to a public sector bank on Monday night.
The arrested people have been identified as 30-year-old N Kalith and 20-year-old J Shakeel. They were truck cleaners who had come to Coimbatore to deliver goods to an e-commerce company.
Both reached the ATM at 9 pm. While Shakeel was posted outside the ATM to keep an eye on the movement of people, Kalith tried to steal the cash by opening the ATM machine with a fake key.
Bank officials in Hyderabad received an alert and informed the local police. The police team led by Sub-Inspector Muthukumar reached the spot and caught the accused red-handed.
Based on the complaint of a bank official, the police have registered a case under section 380 (theft) of the IPC. Both have been sent to judicial custody.
