The new Audi e-tron GT electric four-door coupe will be launched in India on September 22, 2021. It made its global debut earlier this year and will join Audi’s electric vehicle portfolio which includes the Audi e-tron and e. -tron Sportback. The Audi e-tron GT will arrive in India as a Completely Built Unit (CBU). The bookings for the Audi e-tron GT have already started and customers can book the model by paying Rs 10 lakh. The electric car is manufactured at Audi’s Bollinger Hof facility in Germany.

NS Audi The e-tron GT gets a permanently excited synchronous motor on each axle and is mated to a two-speed transmission and also gets electric all-wheel drive (quattro). The combined power output is a healthy 469 bhp or 350 kW and the maximum torque generated is around 630 Nm. The more powerful Audi RS e-tron GT makes 440 kW or 590 bhp and 830 Nm of peak torque. There is a boost function on offer, which raises the peak power output and RS to 523 bhp and 637 bhp respectively for a maximum of 2.5 seconds over the standard model. As per the WLTP norms, the standard model has a range of 488 km while the RS e-Tron GT has a range of 472 km.

The e-tron GT sprints from 0 – 100 kmph in 4.1 seconds with a top speed of 245 kmph, while the RS does so with a top speed of 250 kmph in 3.3 seconds. The car gets an 85 kWh lithium-ion battery and is backed by 800-volt technology that enables fast DC charging of up to 270 kW.

A 12.3-inch Virtual Cockpit Console and a 10.1-inch MMI touchscreen display are standard in the cabin. The system supports natural voice commands and Audi Connect services. The MMI Navigation Plus e-tron comes with Wi-Fi hotspot as standard offering intelligent navigation with specific functions. It will also get an e-tron route planner to calculate the fastest route with the shortest possible charging stops at powerful DC charging points.
