The UrbanSphere EV is designed for urban use and will be available for sale in the international market in the near future. cabin of Audi Urbanosphere The concept offers a minimalist look and is fitted with bamboo viscose fabric armrests and recycled Econil and polyamide seats.
Dimensionally, the EV Concept measures 5,500 mm in length, over 2,000 mm in width and 1,780 mm in height. The front of the Audi Urbanosphere features a large singleframe grille behind the digital Lightning surface. The aluminum-made upper and lower sides of the grille provide a three-dimensional power system with vertical connections formed by LEDs. ‘Audi Lite Canvas’ is a term used to describe an entire singleframe surface of lightning.
The low and high beams are applied to the outer section of the singleframe surface via light segments and an integrated matrix LED surface at the rear. According to reports, the Urbansphere EV will have the largest cabin ever seen in Audi and will have a wheelbase of 3,400 mm. Following the curb mini-van design, the concept gets two-row seating and suicide doors, which provide ample headroom and knee room.
In addition, the center console between the seats has glass and a water dispenser. The front seats also feature a neatly integrated OLED transparent touch screen, located vertically from the ceiling in the area between the seat rows. Although Audi calls this a “cinema screen”, which can also be used for video conferencing or movie watching, split-screen use is also possible.
The EV concept gets an integrated sensor bar that is used to switch content such as music, navigation and more. Furthermore, it comes equipped with fully reclined seats and an MMO touchless response.
Built on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) platform, the Audi UrbanSphere EV Concept uses a 120 kWh battery and two electric motors, producing an overall power output of 395 hp and peak torque of 690 Nm. Apart from this, it also uses 800V charging technology which, as per Audi claims, takes around 10 minutes to charge with a fast charger and offers a drive range of 300 km.
Audi says the 120 kWh battery takes around 25 minutes to charge from 0-80% with a regular charger and will offer a range of around 750km.
