Australian PM cooks homegrown food to celebrate trade deal with India

Rightly said, food connects the world. And Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison has proved it once again. Recently, they made a feast at home to celebrate the new trade agreement signed between India and Australia. Guess what was on the menu? Let us tell you, it was a curry night for Prime Minister Morrison and his family where they made khichdi and curry. He shared some glimpses of his desi food on Instagram. In the first picture, we could see Prime Minister Morrison with a pot full of khichdi and a pan beside it. The second picture had some desi style curry with coriander and curry leaves.

“To celebrate our new trade deal with India, the curries I chose to cook for Curry tonight are all from my dear friend Prime Minister Narendra Modiof Gujarat province, including her favorite khichdi,” he wrote alongside the photos. “Jane, girls and mothers all approve,” he said. Take a look:

Within no time, pictures of Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison created a flutter on the internet and people started sharing their reactions to it. The post garnered 23.6k likes and thousands of comments.

“Enjoy your dinner,” wrote one. Another comment read, “Looks amazing.” A third person said, “Looks delicious.”

For the unversed, India and Australia signed an economic cooperation and trade agreement earlier this week under which Canberra will provide duty-free access to 95 per cent of its market share of Indian goods such as textiles, leather, furniture, jewelery and machinery .
