Ayan Mukerji begins work on ‘Brahmastra’ sequel ‘Dev and the Astroverse’; Part 2 and 3 to shoot together – Times of India

The massive success of ‘Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva’ has forced director Ayan Mukerji to start work on its next parts. Announcing that the film has raked in Rs 360 crore at the worldwide box office, the filmmaker wrote, “Brahmastra Part One is 11 days old today, and some good pure energy for this Monday (Shiva’s day) Putting… what’s in the film achieved so far! The journey continues for the next few weeks as the festive season approaches! All the audience feedback we’ve received (good, and not so good) – of which we all All the amazing fan theories (some of which we’re definitely going to use in our future!)

Talking about the sequel, Ayaan said, “Part Two: Dev and the Astraverse! I didn’t think I would be ready to go back to work as soon as this first child is born, but the energy of our audience has taken off. Gave me the energy to jump straight back into this…! For all this… Thank you #Brahmastra #Astraverse.” Ranbir Kapoor recently told India Today that they are planning to shoot both part 2 and part 3 together so that the sequel is not delayed. Ranbir Kapoor Will return as Shiva for the sequel while many new characters will also be introduced.

Speaking about the immense success of ‘Brahmastra’, Ranbir Kapoor had said, “I think the overwhelming love from the audience for the film is the biggest Brahmastra we have. I am extremely happy and proud to receive these responses. I really want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to every fan and viewer. I think, this is a great film to bring the audience back to the theatres. That’s all we needed. People show their emotions , entertain, laugh and clap – that’s cinema.”
