Prayagraj: Involved in celebrating the whole country of freedom The Amrit Mahotsav, which commemorates the 75th year of independent India, was organized by North Central Railway (NCR) for a week long program titled Azadi Ki Train and Station. The Mahotsav was inaugurated by the CEO and Chairman, Railway Board in New Delhi on Monday. VK Tripathi, After this the program started at all the four stations of NCR. General Manager NCR, Pramod Kumar inaugurated the program at Prayagraj Junction. DRM Jhansi Ashutosh inaugurated the programs at Veerangana Laxmibai Jhansi station and DRM Anand Swaroop at Agra Cantt station.
As part of the prestigious week celebrations, stations are being decorated, attractive lighting is being installed, digital screens are installed, legends related to stations and events of historical importance are being highlighted, Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO), NCR informed. Dr. Shivam Sharma said that efforts would be made to disseminate information about the contribution of great men through posters, banners, audio and video clippings and various programs like street plays, patriotic songs, poetry recitations etc.
In this sequence, the families of freedom fighters will also be invited and honored. A selfie point has also been set up at the station where commuters and locals can take selfies and cherish the memories of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
A unique initiative has been taken at Prayagraj Junction, in which an exhibition has been organized mentioning the martyrs, litterateurs and revolutionaries of the city and their contribution in the freedom struggle. The exhibition is open to the general public from Monday and will close on July 23.
