Avoid doing things that can harm your reproductive system.

A blockage or missing link in the epididymis and vas deferens with the male reproductive system means obstructive azoospermia.

Azoospermia is the medical term for a lack of sperm in the ejaculate. It can be non-obstructive, which occurs when the testes produce less sperm, or obstructive, where there is a blockage preventing sperm from reaching the ejaculate. According to the Cleveland Clinic, azoospermia affects 10% to 15% of infertile men and about 1% of all men. As mentioned above, there are two types of azoospermia: obstructive and non-obstructive.

Obstructive azoospermia means a blockage or missing link in the epididymis and vas deferens with the male reproductive system. Even though the body’s system is making sperm, it is being prevented from ejaculating.

If you have non-obstructive azoospermia, your sperm production is weak or nonexistent as a result of problems with the structure or function of the testicles or other factors. But how does a man reach such a state?

Cause

Many possible causes exist, including certain genetic disorders such as Klinefelter syndrome, pharmacological interventions such as chemotherapy or radiation, recreational substances such as various opiates, and anatomical anomalies such as varicocele or absence of the vas deferens on both sides.

Vasectomy, which prevents sperm from mixing with other fluids in ejaculate, may be the most obvious explanation. Most of the time, however, azoospermia is possibly brought on by unknown causes such as genetic disorders, insufficient testicular development in fetuses or children, or environmental pollutants.

diagnosis

After rotating twice in the centrifuge, the doctor will examine the patient’s sperm sample. If the results show no sperm under a powerful microscope, azoospermia is diagnosed. A centrifuge is a laboratory apparatus that rapidly spins a test sample to separate it into its constituent elements. If sperm cells are present in the centrifuged seminal fluid, they are separated from their surrounding fluid and can be observed under a microscope. In addition to the methods above, the health provider will check for fertility success, childhood illness, injuries, surgery, certain drugs, or family history.
