He said, “Coming here from Afghanistan and playing all the games since my debut has been amazing. Five years ago, I didn’t even think of playing IPL. Closer to 100 (wickets), becoming Gujarat’s vice-captain, It’s huge. I’m so lucky and blessed.”
on being part of the leadership group by being deputy to Hardik PandyaRashid said that the best part is the clarity about his individual roles.
“Sometimes, you perform and sometimes you don’t. The mindset is about giving 100 percent which is more important than the result. As a team we are clear about it and everyone about their roles knows.”
Missed by 15-20 runs
Asked about their loss against SRH, Rashid said that they missed out on around 15-20 runs.
Titans, who were asked to bat first, set a reasonable target of 163 runs but the Kane Williamson-led side pulled off a comprehensive victory with five balls to spare.
“I felt like we fell short by 15-20 runs and couldn’t capitalize on the start. He did well chasing under pressure and kept the run-rate going,” Rashid said.
