Bear, Donkey and many firsts: 8 memorable moments from the Oscars

The surreal sci-fi film “Everything Everywhere at Once” dominated the Oscars.

The 95th Oscars was a night to remember, as stars who shone for the first time won hearts. The surreal atmosphere created by Elizabeth Banks’ cocaine beer and Jimmy Kimmel’s emotional support ass contrasted the tension created by Will Smith’s ‘slap-gate’ last year, perhaps intentionally so.

Elizabeth Banks, director of the comedy-horror hit “Cocaine Bear,” presented the award for best visual effects with a man in a giant bear costume. Banks’ film is based on the true story of a wild animal who overdosed on narcotics — and Oscar Bier pretends to indicate to the audience that he is craving cocaine.

Mr. Kimmel’s recent attempt to get Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai to discuss an Internet scandal involving Harry Styles also failed. “I only talk about peace,” she said. Malala Yousafzai was the executive producer of the Oscar-nominated documentary short “Stranger at the Gate”.
