The Panther Chameleon is a large and beautiful variety that can change color. Females do so only when they are pregnant indicating that they will not mate, while males can flush any combination of red, green or blue depending on their mood.

In a chameleon’s skin, there is the presence of specialized cells called chromatophores that store a range of colors that may be visible or buried on the cell surface.

Signals from the chameleon’s brain inform each skin cell which color to emerge and which to hide, resulting in an overall pattern that can be adapted to every environment.

Within hours of being shared, the video clip has garnered over 17,000 viewers, and over 1,100 likes and still counting. Seeing such beauty, Twitter users have flooded the comment area of the post.

One user, praising the infinite beauty, wrote, ‘If you had called it nature, then not God. Who can be a better painter than nature?’

“100% true!!! Thank you for sharing the wonderful creations of the Almighty,” wrote another.

Chameleons have a long, gripping or “forehead” tail that can be tightly coiled around branches to act as a stable anchor. When not in use, the tail is usually maintained in a loose spiral.
