Indian beauty firm Nykaa’s quarterly profit falls by 49%

Indian beauty products retailer Nykaa on Friday reported a 49% fall in quarterly net profit, hit by rising expenses amid sluggish demand for personal care and fashion products.

Parent company FSN E-Commerce Ventures Ltd said in a regulatory filing that consolidated net profit fell to Rs 85.6 million ($1.10 million) for the fourth quarter ended March 31, from Rs 168.8 million a year ago.

Revenue from operations increased to Rs 9.73 billion from Rs 7.41 billion a year ago.
