A BEE spokesperson said in an email, “BEE has been designated as the Central Nodal Agency for Deployment of Public Charging Infrastructure in India under the ‘Charging Infrastructure-Guidelines and Standards for Electric Vehicles’ issued by the Ministry of Power. ”

He said, “BEE has been entrusted with the design and development of a centralized online database to capture the data of public EV charging stations, and in addition to enable users to locate charging stations and book charging slots conveniently.
