5/9Oil prices were mixed on Monday as investors jumped to a seven-week high on optimism about a possible recovery in demand from top oil importer China as the economy recovers from lockdowns caused by the pandemic this year. Brent crude settled up 48 cents at $88.11 a barrel. The session’s highest level was $89.09 per barrel, which is the highest level since December 1.
