Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain: Neha Pendse kicked out of the show due to ‘uncooperative behaviour’?

The long running comedy show Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai has been entertaining the audience for more than seven years now. However, the news of actress Neha Pendse quitting character Anita Mishra aka Gori Mem a year after she stepped in for Saumya Tandon came as a surprise to many. While the viewers are trying to wrap their minds over it, IndiaTV brings to you the details of the reason behind this major change in the show. To say the best, we have learned that his departure from the show is not on amicable terms with the show makers Edit II Productions, with whom he has previously collaborated on “May I Come in Madam” (2016-17).

Well, for starters, Neha’s decision to leave Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai is not alone. A news report had earlier suggested that the long journey from Mumbai to Naigaon and the impact it was taking on her health was the reason for her decision to leave the show. This may be one aspect of the incident but not the whole truth.

We have learned that Neha was uncooperative during the shooting of Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai. Anita’s character has always been shown to share dance sequences with her husband Vibhuti, played by Asif Sheikh and Manmohan Tiwari, Rohitashv Gaur. However, the actress refused to do such scenes as she was best known. The makers intervened as they felt it would affect the character and the show.

A source told us, “Neha was upset about how things were going with regards to her character. The makers did not make any effort towards creating the character of Anita with her. Due to the initial brief about the character. Later, the show didn’t work on its development. In collaboration with her. She was left on her own and completely lacked the support she expected from the makers.” This is the side of Neha’s story, the source told us.

“She started being uncooperative on the sets. She refused to dance with co-stars and do scenes like that. The reasons for this are known to her best. The makers started panicking after seeing this behaviour. And they realized that this can’t continue anymore. Move on as Anita’s character will be affected and the show will have to bear the brunt of her decisions.”

When we contacted Neha, she declined to comment.

Meanwhile, IndiaTV has also learned that the producers and the channel are looking for Neha’s replacement. Piya Albela’s actress Sheen Das is the frontrunner to replace her as the new Gori mem. Also, the chances of Flora Saini in the race to replace Neha are slim.
