Bhagwant Mann to inaugurate 500 ‘Aam Aadmi Clinic’ in Amritsar today

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is going to inaugurate 500 ‘Aam Aadmi Clinics’ (Mohalla Clinics) in Amritsar on 27 January.

AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal will be present as the chief guest on this occasion.

Earlier, Shri Mann had inaugurated 100 Aam Aadmi Clinics on August 15, 2022, on the occasion of Independence Day.

So far, more than 10 lakh people have been treated free of cost in these 100 Aam Aadmi clinics. While more than three lakh people have benefited from the free testing, the government said in an official statement.

Addressing a press conference in Mohali, Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema and Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh said that the inauguration program will be held on January 27 in Amritsar.

Harpal Singh Cheema said, ‘It is a matter of great pride that within just one year of the formation of the Aam Aadmi Party government, the health revolution has started in Punjab. Mohalla clinics will be set up in Punjab to provide free treatment. Now the government is fulfilling the promises and working whole heartedly to fulfill its dream of making the state Rangla Punjab again.”

Referring to the successes of the Aam Aadmi Clinic, Health Minister Dr. Balbir said that till now more than 10 lakh people have taken advantage of the Aam Aadmi Clinic and more than three lakh people have been examined free of cost. Along with this, medicines were also given free of cost to the people.

Balbir said that the first priority of the AAP government is to ensure that the people of Punjab get free education and best treatment in the state.

“When children of common people will get free education, treatment, medicines and health check-up, they will save a lot of money. They will use this money for their daily needs. Will progress,” he said.
