The yatra began on September 7 from Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu and entered its 70th day on Wednesday.
Congress leader is leading the Bharat Jodo Yatra Rahul Gandhi It continued on the 10th day of its Maharashtra phase on Wednesday in Washim district.
The padyatra, which started at 6 am from Jambharun Phata, will reach Medshi village in the evening and will take a night halt at Patur in Akola district.
The yatra began on September 7 from Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu and entered its 70th day on Wednesday.
Gandhi on Tuesday claimed that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) attacks the Constitution every day because it does not want to accept that Dalits, tribals and the poor should get rights.
He also targeted the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the implementation of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) and the note-ban exercise of 2016 and termed them “two weapons to kill” small and medium traders, shopkeepers and farmers.
Gandhi also targeted Hindutva ideologue VD Savarkar, alleging that he was working for the British and drawing pension from them.
Congress’ mass contact initiative Bharat Jodo Yatra entered Maharashtra from Telangana on 7 November. It has so far covered Nanded, Hingoli and Washim districts of the western state.

Leaders of the NCP and Shiv Sena, Congress’ ally in the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), participated in the yatra in Maharashtra.
