Bid to develop leadership qualities in women college students. Varanasi News – Times of India

Varanasi: With the aim of nurturing and developing the leadership and life skills of the students Women’s CollegeBanaras Hindu University, Vice Chancellor Prof. Sudhir Kumar Jain has constituted the ‘Student Leadership and Life Skill Development Initiative Committee’. According to the spokesperson of the university Rajesh Singh, the committee was headed by Prof. Lalita Vat The Department of Home Science will formulate a strategy and implement activities to develop soft skills, social skills, personal and professional skills in the students. It will also liaise with external and internal resource persons/facilitators/mentors for organizing workshops, talks and programs on various aspects of leadership, emotional intelligence, resilience and professional skills.
In addition, the committee will work with the students to help develop activities aimed at achieving their personal and professional goals.
The VC has also constituted a committee consisting of faculty members of Mahila Mahavidyalaya to assist, facilitate and guide to ensure the overall welfare of the girl students. Pro Nishat Afroji Psychology Section, MMV has been made the coordinator of the committee.
He said that the Principal of the Women’s College, Prof. An advisory council has also been constituted under the chairmanship of Inu Mehta to provide assistance and information on these initiatives.
