Guwahati: BJPThe parliamentary body on Monday appointed Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Law Minister Kiren Rijiju To oversee the ‘Election’ of the Legislature Party Leader in Manipur, which has given impetus to the process of nominating the new Chief Minister of the State.

BJP has secured absolute majority with 32 members and will form the government on its own. This will be the second successive BJP government. In 2017, however, the BJP had to take the support of several other parties to form its first government in the state.
