This election is going to be historic. Till date, the current government has not been repeated even after being in power for five years. But the kind of work the state has seen with the support of the Centre, I am sure the BJP will repeat its performance. It is difficult for the Congress as the late Virbhadra Singh is no more. He was important to the Congress and his party will feel his absence.
The Congress is divided and its internal differences are public. BJP is also not untouched by factionalism. What’s your take on this? If this is not taken care of soon, can it hurt the prospects of the BJP?
Our party is not divided. The last word is of PM Narendra Modi. No one is contesting elections in his name. Everyone will contest the election on the lotus symbol (the party’s election symbol lotus) and win.
Congress is making inflation, unemployment, old pension scheme (OPS) and government jobs election issues? Do you believe these are the real issues? What do you think are the issues in this election?
Inflation is a worldwide phenomenon. Due to the Ukraine-Russia war, rates for various products have increased. But we are thankful to PM that we are getting cheap petroleum products from Russia, despite the onslaught of covid, PM has managed everything well. As far as OPS is concerned, it was stopped by the Congress government in 2004. Even the employees know this. The Congress raising this issue is like a saying of ‘chor machaye shor’. Despite the adversity, PM Modi led the country on the path of progress. Look at Himachal Rural, there is no water bill, the electricity bill for those using 125 units is zero. Those above 60 years get pension. Every family has got the benefit of some government scheme. We just need to remind them that BJP stands with them.
