Four people died in a landslide in Dadam mining area of Tosham block.
New Delhi:
BJP MP Dharamveer Singh on Saturday hinted at illegal mining following a landslide in Haryana’s Bhiwani, in which four people died and several others are feared trapped.
Bhiwani MP Dharamvir Singh said, “The way the water has gone 700-800 meters below the ground level, it seems that illegal mining is taking place in the area.”
After the incident, Bhiwani administration started rescue operation in Dadam mining area of Tosham block.
About half a dozen dumper trucks and some machines were buried under the debris after the landslide in Tosham block, police said.
Mr Singh said that he would request the Haryana Chief Minister to initiate a probe into the matter.
The BJP leader said such incidents are happening regularly and it is likely that it is a result of illegal mining.
“We will get the matter probed. I will also request the chief minister to conduct a detailed inquiry so that such incidents do not recur,” Singh said.
Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala tweeted the video of Dharamvir Singh’s statement on illegal mining and sought a response from the Chief Minister.
There is talk of turning the bug worms into an illegitimate machine, yet in whose pair are the goti worms going in the Khattar government?
