‘Congress Govt. Punjab responsible for the incident
The Puducherry unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday protested near the Gandhi statue to condemn the “security violations” during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent visit to Punjab.
Led by the party’s Puducherry president V. Saminathan, Home Minister A. Namasivayam, party workers including Civil Supplies Minister AK Sai J Saravana Kumar and MLAs raised slogans against the Congress, accusing the party of sabotaging the Prime Minister’s security. Border District.

He blamed the Congress government in Punjab for “compromising on the security” of the prime minister.
Earlier on Friday night, a delegation of Mr Saminathan and Sri Namasivayam met Lieutenant Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan and submitted a memorandum expressing their anguish over the incident.
He urged the Lieutenant Governor to take up the issue with President Ram Nath Kovind.
The memorandum said the “absence” of the Punjab Chief Minister, Chief Secretary and Director General of Police brings to the fore the agreement reached on the protocol.
