The YSR Congress Party will dissolve the Andhra Pradesh state assembly and go for early elections should it win all the MLC seats, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national secretary Y. Satya Kumar predicted.

In a press conference on Sunday, Mr. Satya Kumar alleged that development has come to a standstill in the state. He said that none of the YSRCP leaders discussed about the development works and when questioned about it, blamed the earlier TDP regime for all the current ills in the state.

Citing examples, he said the ruling party was shirking responsibility for delay in completion of the Pulichintala project or failure to attract investments to the state.

“The funds being given by the Center for welfare schemes are also not being utilised,” he said, adding that even after three-and-a-half years, not a single house has been inaugurated under the Jagannath Awas Yojana.

‘Never ignored AP’

He said that the BJP never neglected the state as is being alleged by the YSRCP. He alleged that the BJP government at the Center gave grants worth thousands of crores to various schemes, which were renamed by the state government, without acknowledging the role of the Centre.

The BJP leader accused the ruling party leaders of alluring teachers for the West and East Rayalaseema graduate constituencies and voters of the graduate constituency.

‘Fake vote recorded’

He said that fake votes were registered using fake documents for the upcoming MLC elections. Only to win MLC election. He claimed that government employees, graduates and teachers still have faith in his party.

State official representative Daddakunta Venkateswara Reddy and district president Sreenivasulu were present in the conference.
