Sources told ANI that with several state assembly elections due this year and crucial Lok Sabha elections next year, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has decided to retain people in all key positions.
“In view of the Lok Sabha elections and assembly elections to be held in the coming days, BJP has decided that the national president will be extended and the state presidents of any state will not be changed unless a replacement is demanded. of the state president,” sources said.
Sources further said that there will be no change in the organization unless there is a need.
Significantly, there is not much time left in the Lok Sabha elections 2024 and the assembly elections are also just a few months away.
This year is important from the point of view of elections. Assembly elections will be held in Madhya Pradesh, Tripura, Karnataka, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Mizoram, Rajasthan, Telangana and Chhattisgarh this year.
In six out of these nine states, there are governments of the BJP and its allies. While Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh have Congress governments, Telangana is governed by the Bharatiya Rashtra Samithi (formerly Telangana Rashtra Samithi).
Sources said the BJP will announce the status quo of the party’s national position after a meeting of its national office-bearers on January 16.
Nadda’s three-year term as party president ends at the end of this month. However, his tenure is being extended in view of the upcoming elections.
Meanwhile, after capturing Karnataka, saffron has started preparing to spread its foot in other southern states as well. News agency ANI quoted sources as saying on January 1 that the saffron party’s preparations are in full swing with the deployment of experienced BJP workers on more than 50 seats.
BJP had given training to new workers in Hyderabad a few days back. Senior BJP leaders BL Santosh, Sunil Bansal, Tarun Chugh and Vinod Tawde participated in the training camp.
