BMW i4 electric sedan India launch on May 26: All you need to know – Times of India

bmw Continually working to expand its EV portfolio in the Indian market. After launching the iX electric SUV at a price of Rs 1.16 crore and the Mini Cooper SE at Rs 47.20 lakh (both prices ex-showroom), the brand is now all set to launch the BMW i4 electric sedan across the country on May 26. ,
BMW has already showcased the i4 e-sedan at the India Art Fair in New Delhi. Ahead of its launch, here’s all you need to know about the upcoming BMW electric sedan.

The BMW i4 looks very similar to the 4 Series Gran Coupe, though it gets a few changes at the front including a bigger air dam, new alloy wheels and a bigger grille. Dimensionally, the i4 EV measures 4,783mm in length, 1,852mm in width, 1,448mm in height and 2,856mm in wheelbase.

Inside, the BMW i4 electric sedan features a dual-screen setup, which includes a free-flowing 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 12.3-inch digital driver display embedded with the latest i-Drive 8 user interface.
battery and range
The BMW i4 will be powered by an 83.9 kWh battery and an electric mill with rear-wheel-drive configuration, producing 335 hp power and 430 Nm of torque. As listed on BMW’s India website, the i4 will have a WLTP range of 590 kms. This sedan accelerates from 0-100 kmph in just 5.7 seconds.

Charging Options
The brand hasn’t revealed any information on the charging options offered with the BMW i4, though we expect it to be a bmw wallbox Electric sedan is included in the price. The 83.9 kWh battery from the BMW Wallbox can be fully charged in 10 to 12 hours.
expected value
Since the BMW i4 will be brought to India as a CBU unit, it is difficult to estimate the price of the electric sedan. However, looking at the price of MINI Cooper SE and BMW IX, we expect it to be priced above Rs.80 lakh (ex-showroom) in the Indian market.
