BMW has launched the M340i xDrive 50 Jahre M Edition in India, priced at Rs 68.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The special edition celebrates 50 years of BMW’s high performance M division and the model is being assembled locally at BMW’s India plant. 50 Venom M Edition comes with cosmetic updates over the standard M340i along with two special packages that further spice up the appeal of the performance sedan. The M340i 50 Jahre M Edition is the first of several launches as the company celebrates 50 years of the M division. 50 Zahr M variant is almost ₹ 3 lakh more expensive than the standard variant.

The BMW M340i xDrive 50 Zaheer M Edition will be available in BMW individual paint schemes – Dravidian Gray and Tanzanite Blue. The model gets a high-gloss black finish on the kidney grille as well as jet-black finish on the window surrounds, mirror caps, 19-inch M light-alloy wheels, and 50 Jahre M roundel at the front rear and wheel hubs. hat. The M340i gets adaptive LED headlights with BMW Laserlight. The cabin gets sports seats with M-specific upholstery in the Sensatec/Alcantara trim. The Special Edition comes with an anthracite roof liner, high-gloss shadow line elements, an M leather steering wheel with shift pedals and trims in piano black and galvanic embellishments. Other features include ambient lighting, three-zone climate control, welcome light carpet, and more.

The BMW M340i 50 Jahre M Edition continues to draw power from the familiar 3.0-litre six-cylinder, twin-turbocharged petrol motor. The unit develops 387 bhp and 500 Nm of peak torque and is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Power goes to all four wheels with the xDrive function ensuring you reduce power most effectively. The car can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 4.4 seconds and remains the fastest car in the country. Other upgrades include M Sport suspension, variable sport steering and M Sport brakes for better handling and agility. There’s also an M Sport differential to optimize traction and better stability at high speeds.

The BMW M340i xDrive50 Zaheer M Edition is also being offered with two exclusive and optional 50 year M packages – Motorsport Pack and Carbon Pack. The motorsport pack includes M Performance steering wheel, selector gear knob in Alcantara, rear spoiler in matte black and more. Meanwhile, the Carbon Pack includes interior trims in carbon fiber, an M Performance steering wheel and rear spoiler in carbon fiber.
