Recently, the Telugu star’s remarks at the promotional event of his production film ‘Major’ in Hyderabad created a controversy on social media.

In this program he said, “I may sound arrogant, I got a lot of offers in Hindi. But I think they can’t stand me. I don’t want to waste my time. The stardom and love that I have got here in Telugu cinema, I never thought of moving to another industry. The actor later clarified that he respects all languages ​​but is happy with his place in Telugu cinema. Ranaut said that Babu was merely stating facts.

“His generation alone has made the Telugu industry the number one film industry in India. Now, Bollywood definitely can’t stand them. I don’t understand why it should be made into a big controversy,” said Kangana.

The actor said he did not know in what sense Babu had made such remarks, but he and many others often joked, “Hollywood cannot stand us”.

He said, “He (Babu) has only shown a lot of respect towards his industry and we cannot deny that Telugu films have grown in the last 10-15 years… He didn’t get anything in a plate. We only have a lot to learn from them,” she said.

The actress said that she does not want to speak again about the language divide between the two industries as there are many languages ​​in this “country and they are all important. No language is bigger or smaller than another”.

When asked if ‘Dhaakad’ will be the answer to the pan-India hit of South cinema, Kangana said, “I don’t think I am here to answer (on this).”

Describing himself as the “biggest cheerleader of South Indian cinema”, the actor said, “I was the first one to start the topic that our regional cinema should do good. If there is anything we should do together, (this is) save your screen from Hollywood.”

He said that the Indian film industry needs to be wary of Hollywood.

“If we have to, we must protect ourselves from Hollywood. We don’t need to fight amongst ourselves. Be it South, Malayalam, Kannada or Punjabi cinema, we should promote them.”

“And about answering to South cinema, why should we answer to our own people? We are not afraid of South films, we should be afraid of the American film industry.”

‘Dhaakad’ starring Arjun Rampal and Divya Dutta will release on May 20.
