One of the youngest police academies, BPA inaugurated by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in December 2018 and has a capacity to train 2,000 officers of different ranks simultaneously. At present, 45 DSP-rank officers are undergoing training and 2,277 sub-inspector-rank officers and constables are expected to join the training at the academy.
“By selecting competent trainers and creating a national level training quality, BPA has overtaken the 100 year old Police Training Academy in West Bengal in just three years and received the award of Best Institute for Training of Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSP) ,” said Natasha.
