According to Box Office India report, the film earned around Rs 36 crores across India on the first day. The Hindi version collected around Rs 31.5-32 crore nett and other languages ​​were added for around Rs 4.50 crore. The collections were exceptional in the metropolis. This is the highest opening day collection in the history of non-holiday releases for original Hindi content.

The Mumbai circuit raked in Rs 10 crore, something that was traced back to the release of ‘Sooryavanshi’. The report further stated that the collections from Gujarat were also good, but the contribution of Mumbai/Thane and Pune was much higher due to 3D multiplexes and partial holidays. The film crossed the Rs 10 crore net mark with the Nizam/Andhra circuit in the south collecting Rs 6.50 crore in Hindi and Telugu. The film also did good business in Delhi NCR, Kolkata and Chandigarh. The numbers from CP Brar, CI, Rajasthan and Bihar were comparatively less but still good with chances of a surge on Sunday.

‘Brahmastra’ also garnered huge numbers in overseas markets, including paid previews in the initial days, was expected to cross $3 million.

‘Brahmastra’ is one of the trilogy centered around Ranbir Kapoor’s character Shiva and Alia Bhatt’s character Isha. The film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy in lead roles.
