BTS Group, the popular Korean band, is scheduled to perform at the Grammys 2022 ceremony on April 3.
The official statement read: “Hello. This is Big Hit Music. We would like to provide you with some information about BTS member Jung Kook being diagnosed with COVID-19. Jung Kook on a PCR test in Korea K.’s test was negative, and he left for the United States on Sunday, March 27 (KST) in preparation for a Grammy Awards performance. After arriving in Las Vegas, he felt slight discomfort in his throat and immediately underwent a rapid PCR test. (Covid-19 Molecular PCR test) and a standard PCR test (Covid-19 quantitative PCR test) on the afternoon of Sunday, March 27 (PT).
Jungkook, the youngest member of the band, previously bragged about having a ‘super antibody’. He then said, “I think I’m super antibody… there are some people who don’t get this disease… I think I’m super antibody, because I haven’t been confirmed yet.”
Fans and followers have wished Jungkook a speedy recovery as they look forward to the band’s performance on the night of the awards ceremony.
According to reports, Jungkook’s “participation in the latter event in the United States will be determined by local regulations on COVID-19” and the agency is in “discussions with the prize organiser”.
BTS or Bangtan Boys is one of the most followed K-pop music in the world. In 2021, BTS members Suga, RM and Jin tested COVID positive. In January 2022, V, another member of the group, tested positive for the viral attack.
