The Calcutta High Court on Tuesday directed the West Bengal government to file a fresh report Clashes at Rishra in Hooghly district The lawyers representing senior BJP leader Shubhendu Adhikari mentioned the matter before the bench.
The court directed Mr. Adhikari, the Leader of the Opposition in the state assembly, to file a supplementary affidavit before it on the incident.

A division bench headed by Acting Chief Justice TS Sivagnanam directed the state government to file a brief report on the latest incident of unrest in Rishra after the officer’s lawyers mentioned the matter before the court.
The matter will be taken up for hearing on April 5 along with a PIL filed by Mr Adhikari, the division bench, also comprising Justice Hiranmoy Bhattacharya, directed.
