The Center on Sunday notified the appointment of nine judicial officers from West Bengal as additional judges of the Calcutta High Court.
The Justice Department said in its notification that nine new additional judges have been appointed for a two-year term. Biswaroop Choudhary, Partha Sarathi Sen, Prasenjit Biswas, Uday Kumar, Ajay Kumar Gupta, Supratim Bhattacharya, Partha Sarathi Chatterjee, Apoorva Sinha Ray and Mohammed Shabbar Rashidi have been appointed in the order of seniority, the notification said.
