This is not a drill. Anushka Sharma is expected to walk the red carpet Cannes Film Festival this year. The actress met French Ambassador to India Emmanuel Lenain at the French Embassy in New Delhi along with husband Virat Kohli. The ambassador posted a picture from the meeting and revealed that the actress will be attending the Cannes Film Festival (to be held later this month). Emmanuel Lenain tweeted a picture and wrote in the caption, “It was a pleasure to meet Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma! I wished Virat and Team India all the best for the upcoming tournaments, and discussed Anushka’s visit to the Cannes Film Festival.”

Anushka Sharma is the star of films like Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, PK, Band Baaja Baaraat, Sultan And oh heart is difficult, to name a few. The actress is the brand ambassador of cosmetic giant L’Oreal and is likely to represent the brand at the film festival. Last year, the actress shot for the brand’s commercials in Paris and shared glimpses of her time there on her social media handles.

TV stars Hina Khan and Helly Shah also attended. Akshay Kumar was also in the guest list. However, he had to cancel his trip after getting infected with COVID-19. Cannes veteran Aishwarya Rai Bachchan made back-to-back appearances at the film festival.
